West Moors is a village with a range of shops, mainly independent businesses, two pubs and a doctors’ surgery. There is also a small parade of useful shops nearby, which includes a bakery and café. Nearby Ferndown gives more choice of shops as well as a community centre offering a range of activities.
Only a 15 minute drive from Pinehurst Park, Moors Valley has a mixture of habitats including coniferous forest, deciduous woodland, lakes, ponds, rivers, meadow and heathland which, in turn, support a huge variety of wildlife. Throughout the summer months you will be able to see wildflowers along the path edges including Comfrey, Ragged Robin, Bluebells and Purple Loosestrife.
Bournemouth’s main beach has been catering for beach-goers since Victorian times, yet remains one of Britain’s favourite beaches. It is easy to see the attraction; a huge swathe of fine golden sand set on the doorstep of this vibrant coastal.
Bournemouth, with its extensive gardens and shops, and Sandbanks’ beaches are approximately a half hour drive away, as is Poole, rated to have the largest natural harbour in the world, where you can find a wide range of shops as well as enjoying a drink on the Quay in one of the quaint old pubs or a coffee in one of the cafes, whilst watching the comings and goings of the various boats and admiring the Sunseeker yachts being built.

With its proximity to good road links, countryside and the coast Pinehurst Park Homes is one of those special places whose location gives the best of everything.
The Park is only a few miles from Holt Heath Nature Reserve which has miles of good walking trails. The Reserve is owned by the National Trust and managed in association with Natural England. The heath is one of the few places where all six native British reptile species occur, and it also supports many other heathland animals, plants and birds.
The well known New Forest, which is also within an easy driving distance, where the New Forest ponies can be seen as well as Dartford Warblers and Curlews and a variety of butterflies. The New Forest is one of the largest remaining tracts of unenclosed pasture land, heathland and forest in Southern England, covering southwest Hampshire and southeast Wiltshire.
